In my experience, athletic growth comes significantly more in recovery, and the basis of physical recovery is rooted in nutrition. If you are unable to nourish your body post-workout, you aren't able to growth competitively as an athlete. It is impossible to reach your potential if you are under-nourished or under-caring for your physical needs. Yet, so many athletes struggle with this.
